“ Great venue located on the main road - good stop for passing traffic, cyclists included. Park opposite in lay-by or around the corner on street parking. Large portions, great value. This place came recommended and did not disappoint. ”
“ Just visited the Piano cafe for the first time now under new ownership (Tom and Hannah). Fabulous cake, excellent coffee. Very good service, the dogs were very spoilt (love the pawprints on the table booking sign!) and the atmosphere is great. So glad they are open, despite it being January. Well done Tom and Hannah, we will be back!! Update - Been back for a Brunch - absolutely fabulous. Looking forward to joining a Friday supper soon. ”
“ A very much needed food (and coke) stop on a cycling trip around the island. I decided to try something different with the butternut squash dish, served on sourdough with feta, toasted seeds, pesto and a perfect poached egg. Well and truly hit the spot! Recommend! Service was great from all the staff as was the provision for bikes. ”
“ Solid food and lovely atmosphere (especially cool artwork) and made a great break after a visit to the Tennyson house & gardens at Farringford. We got chalkstream trout bagel (excellent beetroot renounce and excellent pickled shallots and generous serving of trout). Also got the hash browns with Parmesan and home made ketchup which was another win. Ditto for the croissant which was flaky and delicious with local butter and jam. Perfect meal and lovely staff - definitely recommend! ”
“ Had an amazing brunch there. Greta service and food was well worth the wait! ”
“ The best coffee we've had on the island. They train the baristas to a high standard and although not the cheapest it is definitely worth the money. Very friendly staff too and dog friendly inside. ”
“ What can I say... Let me start by saying my wife and I care about good food, not fancy pretentious food, food that is made with care and served by people that mirror that. With that in mind, in my experience, this place has got to be one of the best cafe's in the country. Whilst on holiday with my wife children and puppy we thought we'd swing by for some breakfast on my wife's birthday. we had pancakes, breakfast bagels, coffees, some bits for my children and chorizo hash browns. Every part of our meal was a sensation and those Hash Browns... A week later I'm still thinking about them! The staff were so lovely, it was like being welcomed by old friends. it was so good i booked a table for breakfast on my birthday for the following Saturday and they pulled out the stops, gave me a little birthday treat and sang happy birthday. I've seen reviews saying its expensive, its not cheap but its certainly not extortionate and in my opinion you cant get better food and service for less. I will not be visiting the island without a trip to the cafe ever again. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely experience. ”
“ We knew from the warm welcome when we walked into this place that it was going to be good. The new owners have created a really interesting and eclectic menu which made it hard to choose, but when our meals arrived our already high expectations were exceeded. Lovely food, perfectly presented, we enjoyed it so much we are going back again for lunch tomorrow. You know when occasionally you find a cafe or restaurant where the food is so good you wish you lived close enough to come twice a week? This is one. ”
